Warnings & Precautions

WARNING SIGNS TO STOP EXERCISING:

  • Vaginal bleeding
  • Shortness of breath before exertion 
  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • Chest pain or palpitations
  • Muscle weakness
  • Calf pain or swelling (which may indicate a deep vein thrombosis)
  • Pre-term labour
  • Decreased fetal movement
  • Abdominal pain especially around back or pubic area
  • Excessive fatigue 
  • Amniotic fluid leakage


THIS WORKSHOP IS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:  

  • Significant heart disease
  • Restrictive lung disease
  • Incompetent cervix
  • Multiple gestation at risk of premature labour
  • Persistent second or third trimester bleeding
  • Placenta previa after 26 weeks gestation
  • Premature labour during current pregnancy
  • Broken water
  • Preeclampsia or pregnancy induced hypertension
